The Exarch House, Arbanasi

The Exarch House (XV-XVI Century)

The Building complex was originally built at the end of the XV and beginning of the XVI century. Both entrance buildings, the historic baths building & the stone property walls were destroyed by the earthquake of June 1913. Partial reconstruction took place around 1915 during the First World War.
The main building was restored in the 1960s and used by the Bulgarian Federal Monuments Office. The 5m to 6m high stone fence around the entire building complex and garden is no longer there and has only been symbolically rebuilt in the 1960s.

The building complex has been owned by the Plamen Dejanoff Foundation since 2010.
